Paul Lynch to continue as President in 2026 as Duncan Aspinall is announced as Vice President
CPT is delighted to announce that Paul Lynch, Managing Director of Stagecoach London, will continue as President for 2026 with a one-year extension to his current term and that Duncan Aspinall, Director of Holmeswood Coaches Ltd, has been appointed as Vice-President.
Reacting to the Chancellor’s statement, Alison Edwards, Director of Policy and External Relations at the Confederation of Passenger Transport, said:
“Buses are the UK’s most popular and affordable form of public transport, carrying over 10 million people a day. We welcome the Government’s ambition of improving buses nationwide and this week’s package of £1 billion in public funding for buses will safeguard vital routes and ensure that fares across England are capped at £3.

“We are pleased that the government has taken steps to implement a managed exit from the £2 fare cap in line with our proposals. While it will avoid the dangers of a cliff edge at the end of this year, an increase to £3 will still present challenges for many passengers, particularly those who rely on buses as their primary means of affordable travel.
