1. Engaging the community - Transport is at the very heart of our communities, it belongs to all of us. Our organisations support the promotion and creation of a socially cohesive society, and it is important that we are an integral part of the communities we serve. We aim to be recognised as organisations which are trusted and respected, with a workforce that’s a true reflection of the community it serves.

2. The employees of the future - It’s crucial that as an industry we can attract diverse talent which can help us deliver a first-class service, and also help inspire and innovate as we move into a new era of sustainable mobility with greener, cleaner technologies. We have an important role to play in ensuring that our industry is perceived positively and that we are an employer of choice - where people proactively seek us out wanting to be a part of our future.

3. New Career - There are so many opportunities available to people with experience and skills gained across other industries, we want to make sure we can attract these candidate, and that they know they are welcome to forge a new career pathway with us.

4. Inclusive recruitment - When we’re hiring its key that our processes deliver the outputs we need. We need to ensure we’re talking to the broadest pool of people so we can attract a range of skills, perspectives and qualities. Once we have a workforce that truly represents our customer base, then we will be in the strongest position to improve performance and profitability. To make sure we undertake inclusive recruitment practices we need ensure that we take steps to eliminate unconscious bias from our processes.
