Our report, launched at the House of Commons in 2011, sets out the benefits of bus services in facilitating economic growth, accessibility and social inclusion, and reducing congestion and CO2 emissions.
In 2003, CPT started compiling an industry cost index. Using figures supplied by volunteer member companies in each region, the index tracked movements in operators’ key costs and combined them to give an overall figure for changes. The index was designed to be appropriate for use in contract price negotiations.
