Our brands aren’t just the colours and names slapped on our buses. Our brands have depth and they demonstrate how we choose to live. So, for example, when we say we are ‘The Harrogate Bus Company’ we truly aim to be integral to the town, understand its needs, know the key decision makers and contribute to the community.

Using the opportunity of a new electric town network, each zero emission bus is named and belong to each of the eight primary schools we serve.

To ensure we go beyond carbon-neutral and demonstrate our leadership to other road users, we plant a tree for every successful 10,000 electric miles completed. We have now planted over 60 trees in the borough.

Additionally, we provide free buses on Sundays thanks to our partnership effort with Harrogate BID to ensure incomes are spent locally and our independent shops and leisure outlets are supported, particularly as we recover from the pandemic.

Our CEO has earned a monthly column in the local newspaper which helps to ensure buses remain at front of mind. This is all alongside strong relationships with the Chamber of Commerce, Zero Carbon Harrogate, the local Climate Coaltion, Harrogate International Festivals and other organisations that, alongside us, help make or town great.
