Our story

Caroline Ward and Chloe Leach-O’Connell are the pioneers behind The Inclusive Employment Journey, it was born from an aspiration they both had to raise the profile of Diversity & Inclusion in all areas of decision making and operations within the bus and coach industry.

They wanted to create a space where a manager or leader could go to find ideas or get help to improve Diversity and Inclusion in their own organisation. A way of sharing the art of the possible – finding out what we don’t know or even realise it would be helpful to know! The Inclusive Employment Journey has been designed to be accessible to any size business from SMEs to global groups.

Caroline is a consultant primarily, but not exclusively, within the passenger transport sector, designing and delivering people development modules and workshops about Fatigue awareness, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion and Customer Service. She is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Logistics and Transport (CMILT) and a qualified Coach and Mentor.  She is a member of Women in Transport and a mentor on the Women in Transport Advance Mentoring programme.

Chloe has been part of the bus industry for over 15 years, she’s an engagement professional specialising in internal and external communication programmes. She is Co-Chair and a founder member of the D&I Bus Group, part of Women in Transport.
