The Confederation of Passenger Transport (CPT) can now confirm that the Senior Traffic Commissioner, Richard Turfitt, will provide a keynote address on day two of the UK Bus and Coach Conference, Wednesday 13 January.

Richard will refer to some of the work undertaken to support industry during the pandemic, including the advice and statutory guidance on the approach to regulation during the restrictions. He will provide an insight into the emerging lessons and how those experiences might be used to support essential services going forward.

CPT’s Member & Membership Services Director Chris Nice said: “I’m really pleased to confirm that Richard Turfitt will be providing the keynote address on day two of the conference. It’s great to have such a high-profile speaker alongside a programme packed with presentations and debate from bus and coach industry experts. Richard’s address will no doubt provide all attending with insight into the hard and crucial work of the Traffic Commissioners during the pandemic and their plans moving forward, and we look forward to hearing from him at the conference.”

Other headline speakers including Jane Cole, Professor Iain Docherty, Alex Hornby, and Simon Quin of the High Streets Task Force.

The UK Bus & Coach Conference 2021 is free for CPT members. Information about signing up and the full programme of speakers can be found here.
