Following discussions with CPT Scotland, Scottish Government policy leads have confirmed that the depots/offices of Coach Tour operators will be included in the definition of leisure sector, and operators should now be able to access funding to help with the impacts of the Covid-19 outbreak.

The funding, known as the Coronavirus Business Support Fund, is administered by Local Authorities. The fund provides a one-off grant of £25,000 to ratepayers of business within the Retail, Hospitality and Leisure Sectors who operate in premises with a rateable value of £18,001 - £50,999.

Operators should speak directly with their Local Authority in order to access this funding and report back to CPT should they run into any issues.

CPT are in regular conversations with Government at all levels to try and secure additional funding for the coaching sector during the Covid-19 crises.
