June 29 2023

The final date for submissions to the CPT Cost Monitor report for February 2023 is next Friday 7 July.

As explained above, those who previously contributed (bus) baseline data from 2022 should now have received a report with a wealth of industry cost information.  However, in addition to being able to access the full report, those who contribute are really helping the CPT team in their lobbying work.  For example, we used a number of pieces of information from the report in our recent response to the call for evidence on the Shortage Occupation List.

Full details of how to supply data are available here [attachment].  Data for the large bus groups is generally being coordinated centrally but please get in touch if you need to clarify anything with us[operations@cpt-uk.org].  Thanks to all those who have contributed so far.

Unfortunately, as mentioned above, there were so few contributions of coach data for 2022 that we weren’t able to produce a report.  We really do hope that more coach-operating members will supply data this time.  We have developed specific templates for coach to make it easier and the information being requested should be readily available to any operator with a good financial reporting system in place.

To maintain confidentiality of individual operator data, Chris Cheek of 2FM is doing all the data collation and analysis for us.  Chris can also assist with any technical queries from members.  His details are available on the link above.
