Coach operators and holiday companies offering international coach trips are being encouraged to share their views on Eurotunnel’s withdrawal of their online booking facility, as well as the price tariff increases they’ve faced this summer.

The Confederation of Passenger Transport are looking to hear from coach operators to learn more about how Eurotunnel’s decisions have impacted them during what is a peak travel period.

CPT’s Coach Manager Phil Smith said: “The decision by Eurotunnel to withdraw the traditional online booking facility for coach operators and to greatly increase coach price tariffs for July and August has resulted in serious disruption to many operators. This is especially felt when international coach travel was just beginning to re-establish itself.”

CPT would like coach operators, and holiday companies, to complete a short survey so they can provide the full picture to Eurotunnel about the implications of their new strategy.

Phil Smith added: “CPT has been vocal on behalf of its members in making sure that both Eurotunnel, as well as key politicians, are fully aware of the negative impact that Eurotunnel’s decision has inflicted on both coach operators and wider international coach tourism.”
