On Monday 29 July, CPT welcomed over 200 members to this year’s event, as well as Richard Turfitt, Senior Traffic Commissioner, who did not hesitate to join in the festivities, driving a coach for the first time.
This year marked the 10th anniversary of the event, which was held at North Weald Airfield in Harlow. Vehicles were provided by Jones Coach and Bus Sales, Pelican Yutong, EVM UK, Dawson Group Bus and Coach and Volvo, and were available for attendees to test drive around the track, kindly marked out by Robert Lodge from Lodge Coaches, James Palmer and Sarah Wayper from ACME.
New for the event this year was a bus driver test, kindly hosted by First Bus and a brake simulator hosted by National Express – both of which added some fun, healthy competition.
An additional thank you to PSV Transport Systems who provided the hospitality stand and kept us all refreshed during an absolute scorcher of a day.
This year’s event did not disappoint and provided attendees with a fantastic opportunity to test drive and get up close and personal with the latest vehicles available, and a chance to network with experts across the bus and coach sector, who are deeply passionate about the industry.
