- ABTOT and CPT extend partnership for coach tour operators for a further five years
- Bonded Coach Holidays (BCH) from ABTOT has welcomed 20 new members since 2021
- This year marks the 30th year in a row of the Bonded Coach Holidays brand.
ABTOT has extended its agreement to run Bonded Coach Holidays (BCH) as a tailored consumer protection scheme for CPT’s coach tour operator members.
Since taking over the scheme in 2021, ABTOT has welcomed 20 new coach tour operators under the BCH banner. With the scheme now its 30th year, ABTOT regard BCH as an important benefit available to coach operator members that run package tours.
The announcement ensures the continuation of an exclusive programme of benefits for CPT members including:
- a legal helpline
- compliance guidance for T’s and C’s
- brochure review and advisory services
- a package travel helpline
Commenting on the announcement, Graham Vidler, CEO of the Confederation of Passenger Transport, said:
“We’re delighted to continue to offer this highly valuable option for the coach tourism industry. CPT will continue to work closely with ABTOT to ensure the scheme remains relevant and valuable, and to raise awareness. We look forward to continuing to work with members to provide a solid solution for those that specialise in coach tourism.”

“The BCH brand is well known to coach holiday consumers and well trusted. All of us at ABTOT were delighted to bring the scheme under ABTOT’s financial protection umbrella in 2021 and take real pleasure in seeing it continue to grow in numbers and in strength.”
ABTOT has also confirmed that it has never had, nor currently has, any intention to introduce any further consumer protection schemes for coach operators.
