May 25 2022

This year CPT is embarking on a project called CPT Sharing Ideas, where we’ll be bringing members together on topical issues such as dealing with the driver shortage and big data in the bus and coach sector, in order to share best practice.

Our first session will take place on the afternoon of Wednesday 25 May (12:00-16:00) and will focus on how we attract and retain talent in the bus and coach sector. At this session, we’ll hear numerous examples of good practice across the sector and hold workshop sessions to understand the barriers to progress in this area and what it means for your operation.

Chaired by Alex Hornby of Transdev and sponsored by CPT Training, we’ll hear from Go-Ahead London on the successes of their apprenticeship programme in recruiting drivers. Masons Coaches will share with us their efforts to rethink how coach operators approach training and skills and we’ll hear from Women in Transport about how they’re helping to reshape the types of people attracted to the bus and coach sector.
