After more than a decade at the helm, Claire Haigh is stepping down as CEO of Greener Journeys to pursue a wider role in the decarbonisation of transport. She commented:

“2021 is going to be a critical year for the decarbonisation agenda. All our research at Greener Journeys has shown that buses have a pivotal role to play in decarbonising transport. It has been privilege to play a part in raising awareness of the vital role of buses. However, we need solutions across the board for all forms of passenger and freight transport.”

Speaking for the bus industry, Martin Dean, Chairman of the Confederation of Passenger Transport (CPT) said: "Claire has done a huge job for the bus industry over the past 11 years and we will always be grateful for her contribution.

"Through her use of carefully researched evidence and reach to a much broader range of stakeholders she has promoted a compelling message. We look forward to continuing to work with her as she pursues a broader agenda of transport decarbonisation."

Moving forward the key aims and objectives of Greener Journeys will be carried out by CPT and a full archive of Greener Journeys reports and responses can be found here
