The phased implementation of the requirements for audio and visual next stop announcements on local services reaches key marker points from October this year, when vehicles first used from 1/10/2019 come in to scope, and then again from October 2025 with vehicles first used from 1st October 2014 being required to comply.
We’ve recently seen an increase in enquiries about these requirements. It’s not just registered local services that are in scope, the rules also apply to some longer distance services, and even to rail replacement services that meet the local service definition.
To assist members, we’re holding an online webinar where we will be highlighting the key requirements and linking you up with key stakeholders and equipment suppliers. You’ll hear from The CPT Operations Team, Tim Rivett from RTIG, McKenna Brothers, and more. There will also be time for live Q&A.
