Campaign for Better Transport launches 'The Way Forward'

CPT's Head of Policy Alison Edwards has reacted to the launch of 'The Way Forward', Campaign for Better Transport's national campaign to help people get back on board public transport.

“Buses have played a vital role during the pandemic in helping to keep people moving safely and will be equally important in the country’s recovery from the pandemic. They will get people back to work, to local high streets and help with visits to family and friends while driving down the number of car journeys we make.

“We now need to see the Government ensuring we are in the strongest possible position to deliver the aims of the National Bus Strategy by ensuring operators can run the networks passengers need, unquestionably championing a back on board message for both bus and coach and ensuring neither is left behind in the social distancing review.”
