About

We help a dynamic bus and coach industry to provide better journeys for all. We do this by representing around 900 members, giving them practical advice and support, and bringing the industry together to build better solutions.

What we do

Our dedicated teams in England, Scotland and Wales work closely with members at local and national levels to help them achieve the best possible operating environment.

Our three central decision-making committees - UK Board, Bus Commission and Coach Commission - made up of elected representatives, direct CPT and set out the organisation’s key policy objectives and asks of government.

Working to influence

Working with senior civil servants and advisers, key MPs, MSPs and AMs, and government ministers to ensure the issues that matter most to the industry are firmly on the political agenda.

Keeping you informed

Members are kept up to date with all the latest industry news and developments through updates sent direct to their inboxes, and free access to the CPT Compliance Manual.

Regional support & representation

Our dedicated regional team works closely with CPT members and industry stakeholders at a local level to make sure the views of bus and coach operators are clearly understood.

Raising awareness

Engaging with national and regional journalists to raise the profile of the industry and ensure that the vital role of buses and coaches is understood and clearly presented.

Technical & Operational

In partnership with many key industry agencies we work to ensure that the rules and regulations surrounding bus and coach operations allow our members to prosper. We are also the Government approved distributor of Waybills.

Commercial Partners

Through Commercial Partnerships members have exclusive access to a wide range of industry products and services delivered by leading industry suppliers.

Sharing best practice

Our wide range of regular regional and national conferences, workshops and CPT Live events allow members to discuss the latest industry developments and share operational best practice.
