Following the announcement in the Budget 2020 that West Yorkshire Combined Authority will be getting an elected mayor, CPT’s Northern & Yorkshire regional manager Andrew McGuinness calls for the positive relationships between local leaders and the bus industry to continue.
“Bus operators across the region have a strong relationship with local leaders via the West Yorkshire Bus Alliance and Connecting Leeds programme, which have delivered improved services for passengers.
It is vital that this work continues over the next 12 months and is not stagnated as we wait for the election next year and once the Mayor is in post the industry looks forward to working with them to deliver for residents across West Yorkshire.”
