Bonded Coach Holidays

When considering a coach holiday always look for the BCH logo on the operator’s brochure. This means that your money is protected by a government approved scheme specifically for coach package holidays (involving coach travel and accommodation of at least one overnight stay).

The Bus Appeals Body (BAB) is a non statutory committee offering independent review of complaints arising from the operation of local bus and scheduled coach services.

Coach Drivers Club (CDC)

The Coach Drivers' Club, commonly known as the CDC, has been at the heart of the coaching industry for over 30 years. The Club exists to support professional coach drivers, a message that's being reinforced in 2013 with the introduction of a new brand identity.

The Driver Vehicle Standards Agency (formerly VOSA) provides a range of licensing, testing and enforcement services with the aim of improving the roadworthiness standards of vehicles, ensuring the compliance of operators and drivers, and supporting the independent Traffic Commissioners.

Greener Journeys

Greener Journeys is a campaign to encourage fewer car journeys and more trips by bus and coach. We aim to increase the value of bus and coach travel in stimulating economic growth, reducing congestion and CO2 emissions and enabling access to jobs, retail, leisure and vital services.

International Association of Public Transport (UITP)

The International Association of Public Transport (UITP) is the international network for public transport authorities and operators, policy decision-makers, scientific institutes and the public transport supply and service industry. It is a platform for worldwide cooperation, business development and the sharing of know-how between its 3,400 members from 92 countries.

People 1st is the sector skills council for hospitality, passenger transport, travel and tourism in the UK. They work to transform skills in the sector, particularly in the areas of management and leadership, customer service and craft/technical skills.

PLUSBUS is Britain’s only nation-wide integrated train to bus ticketing scheme. It is a discount price bus pass that offers rail passengers unlimited bus travel around the origin and/or destination town of their rail journey. Smart Move
