2010 Parking Charges Consultation
CPT has learnt that a parking charges consultation has recently been issued jointly by London Councils and Transport for London (TfL) and it is important as stakeholders that we have the right of response. Managing London’s road network is undertaken by London’s 33 local authorities and TfL. This management takes many forms and includes the requirement to enforce penalties to allow the free and expeditious movement of traffic throughout the Capital. TfL and the boroughs are collectively responsible for setting the level of such penalties, which are used to “ensure compliance for the benefit of London as a whole”.
