Online VOSA Survey Goes Live - CPT Release
CPT's Operations Executive, Stephen Smith
The aim is to identify ways in which the annual vehicle test and roadside check process can be improved for operators. The survey can be accessed here or by clicking the ‘VOSA SURVEY’ button (left hand side) of the CPT Website – www.cpt-uk.org
The MOA was signed on 15 February at VOSA’s headquarters in Bristol. The document affirms the commitment of all signatories to working together to promote the safe and efficient operation of goods and passenger vehicles. It recognises the need for clear two way communication, mutual respect and cooperation.
CPT is keen to monitor the performance of this agreement during the first few months of its implementation, and is therefore looking to members to complete a short survey each and every time a vehicle is presented for annual test or roadside check, over the next few months (March - July 2008).
Stephen Smith, CPT’s Operations Executive, is managing the process and will be monitoring members’ responses and feeding them back to VOSA. He said: “One requirement of the agreement is for CPT to ‘raise members concerns and complaints with VOSA’. For us to be able to do this we need the support of as many bus and coach operators as possible. I therefore urge them to complete the short questionnaire each and every time a vehicle is presented for test. For the next few months, we want this survey, which takes just a couple of minutes to complete, to become part and parcel of the whole test process. Without operators’ feedback we will be unable to identify improvements or alterations to the current test procedures.”
Mr Smith continued, “VOSA is committed to meeting regularly with the Trade Associations who have signed the agreement, and I look forward to providing them with some interesting and informative comments.”
