The Department for Transport (DfT) has launched a new grant scheme enabling coach operators to claim back up to 75% of the cost of purchasing portable Accessible Information (PSV(AI)R) equipment for vehicles used on rail replacement services.
The scheme has been introduced to help maintain PSV(AI)R-compliant rail replacement coach provision ahead of the expiry of the current technical exemptions on 31 July 2026.
